  • EXTRAMURAL SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH

    • 1989-1990. $100,000 Japanese Science and Technology Fellowship. This fellowship funded a one year sabbatical in Japan at the, National Institute of Agro-Environmental Sciences. The products of this grant were a monograph on a large group of parasitic wasps important in biological control and the introduction of a biological control agent to the west coast against the apple ermine moth.
    • 1993 -1998. $300,000. Co-PI. NSF Systematics: "Identification Manual to the New World Genera of Braconidae". This was a collaborative grant involving eight scientists. My duties included co-editing the volume, writing a quarter of the text, and writing the interactive keys to all 404 genera and making these accessible via the world wide web.
